World Science Fiction Society

The World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) is the organization that licenses Worldcon. WSFS requires that every Worldcon perform the following functions:

Follow the links to the individual pages for more information on each of these topics. We have also provided a separate page with answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about WSFS.

The process to select the host sites for the 2015 Worldcon and the 2014 North American Science Fiction Convention ("NASFiC") is now under way. Three bidders have filed for the Worldcon election and two for the NASFiC election. All of the bidder details along with links to the bidder websites and formal filings can be found on the site selection page.

Site Selection ballots may be submitted by postal mail or in person at the convention. Mail-in ballots must be received by Sunday, August 18, 2013. Ballots may be submitted at the convention until the close of voting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Printable copies of the ballot forms, along with detailed voting instructions, can also be found on the site selection page.

NEW - as of Wednesday, June 26, 2013, the site selection page now includes additional "fannish inquisition" style responses from each site selection bidder to help voters make their decision.
